Duster


Building on its continuing success in the
compact SUV space, Renault India today
announced the introduction of the brand-
new multimedia system, ‘Media NAV’, in the
Renault Duster. The Media NAV is a
multimedia device that offers infotainment
& communication features. It includes an
18cm touch-sensitive display, radio,
telephony, satellite navigation as well as
multimedia connection functions and will
be incorporated in the Duster’s dashboard.
“The Renault Duster was a breakthrough
offering in the Indian market, with the
performance of SUV and the comfort of a
sedan at an affordable cost,” said Sumit
Sawhney, Executive Director, Marketing &
Sales, Renault India Pvt. Ltd. “With the
introduction of the Media NAV system, the
Duster now offers enhanced convenience
and a more enjoyable drive, all at the
customers’ fingertips.” It is perceived as a
Segment breaker now offering affordable
multimedia options as well.
The Media NAV’s main menu permits easy
access to essential functions such as radio,
media, telephone, satellite navigation and
settings. The system’s Bluetooth®
technology also enables drivers to make
hands-free telephone calls as well as
synchronize their contact book and peruse
their call history. Duster customers can also
connect their iPodTM or smartphone
through a USB or jack sockets located on
the dash panel. The Media NAV can be
operated through either the touch-sensitive
display or steering wheel-mounted
controls, while the Media NAV’s intuitive
navigation system operates with 2D, 3D as
well as Bird view graphics.
The Media NAV’s information and
entertainment package is available as an
option in the 85 PS RxL and the 110 PS RxZ
variants at a competitive price.
Renault currently offers five models in the
Indian market – the premium sedan
Fluence, the luxury SUV Koleos, the
premium compact car, Pulse, the SUV,
Duster and the premium sedan, Scala.
Renault India also exports the Duster to
right-hand drive markets, with India set to
become a production hub for right-hand
drive cars.
Renault cars are manufactured in the
manufacturing facility located in Oragadam,
Chennai, with a capacity of 400,000 units
per annum. Currently, Renault India also
has a widespread presence of 100 dealer
outlets across the country.
